Only a drunk driver would walk over to his burning car to try to light his cigarette using the flames! Robert Quigley, 25, rear-ended a vehicle that was stopped in traffic while he was going 75 to 80 mph.
A cop witnessed the car burst into flames and also happened to notice that Quigley switched seats with his female passenger. Quigley soon admitted to the officer that he was, indeed, the one behind the wheel at the time of the crash. That wasn’t the only bad move he made, though.
A witness also told the cops that a shirtless Quigley walked back over to his burning car in an attempt to light his cigarette. Lucky for him, the only thing on his body that got burned were his eyebrows, which completely burned off.
His response? “Yeah, I’m not afraid of fire. I deal with this kind of stuff all the time.” Clearly. Amazingly, nobody else was injured.
Quigley has been charged on suspicion of driving under the influence and was booked into the local jail. It is the second time he has been picked up for DUI in the last WEEK, after being arrested for a separate incident.
Somebody needs to teach this guy how to call a cab!
